EDucation
One of the most important goals of B.W.I.O. is to educate the public on the value and importance of Black women opera singers. From Marian Anderson to Angel Blue, we love to share both the historical and present accomplishments of Black Women in Opera as they blaze the trail for new generations. In this section, we explore the history of Black women opera singers and its impact on the role of Black women opera singers today.

Because we value community at B.W.I.O., we hope in the future to hold events such as brunches, recitals, concerts, and group meetings to share the beauty of our art and our people.
